Today in bus...

I sat in the bus
On my way to school-
Shivering with cold,
In the winter cool

I don’t like it—
Now just two years are left
Only exams and tests,
Before my school I’d have left!

I looked at my right,
And then all around,
Seeing the little kids
A truth I found

I felt scared now
I’m left with only two years
Then I have to face life—
Full of challenges and fears..

Their giggles filled my ears,
Their babble I could hear,
I recalled those days
When, to me, only play was dear

Oh— a plane!
I heard a shout..
Now did that remark
sound stupid to me?— I doubt!

Up in the sky
When I looked at the clouds
I recalled how I imagined them—
Looking at me... laughing out loud!

Playing, singing and dancing,
I went up my classes and— lo!
I just realised that—
I have, only two years to go!

But then why feel bad
...I thought....
I have so many years,
In which I will learn and travel a lot!

Life is a rainbow,
Of different shades and hues
And each day lets you
Find a newer-self in you!!

I sat in the bus,
On my way to school,
Smiling with warm thoughts
Swimming gaily in my thinking pool...
